Carling Cup Update: Villa Beats Blackburn 3-1

The Villa bounced back today with a 3-1 win over Blackburn in League Cup competition today.  Villa goals came from Heskey (1) and A. Young (2).  Only 18K at Villa Park?  Middle oif the work week I guess.

  1. 18K at Villa Park is a disgrace . I hope all the nay sayers all over the AVFC world are prepared to stand up at a later date and admit they were wrong if G.H . makes a go of things .
He's won trophies with every team he's managed , and frankly with a record like that , if we don't win something we should point the blame at almost every other aspect of Villa before him .
Randy Lerner is excepted as I firmly believe he's doing the right thing for the club financially .
When G.H. said that Villa are no Liverpool some people were discouraged by that but the fact is Villa aren't . He's telling the truth and in the same way we have an honest owner who takes his guardianship of the Villa legacy seriously .
Hopefully we now have a manager who has experience and past glories far beyond anything any other manager we've ever had has achieved and could to take us to a place we haven't seriously inhabited for several decades
