It's Official - Makoun Signs with Villa

Midfielder Jean II Makoun, a Cameroon international, has signed with Aston Villa through 2014. He is coming from Olympique Lyonnais from France's Ligue 1. The hope is that Makoun can bring some life to the midfield as we try to fight our way out of the relegation zone in the Premiership.

Kyle Walker (D) from Tottenham to Aston Villa (Loan)

Walker has already made an impact - scoring in the FA Cup fixture this past weekend vs. Sheffield United

Steve Sidwell (M) from Aston Villa to Fulham

Sidwell goes to Fulham for an undisclosed transfer fee. Good luck to Steve. This isn't a big loss for Villa, but opens up some room for an impact signing hopefully.

FA Cup: Villa 3-1 over Sheffield United

Walker. Albrighton, and Petrov. Some much needed scoring to secure this 3rd Round FA Cup victory. Yes, we were playing a Championship side Winning has to have some positive effect on the team (I hope).

Can you spell R-E-L-E-G-A-T-I-O-N Z-O-N-E?

I can't believe it. I never thought we would be here. The season has not gone well, but I NEVER expected us to dip into the relegation zone. Losing 1-nil to Sunderland today puts us currently 18th in the table. There is still plenty of time to change all of this, but after last year's success - this is absolutely unacceptable. C'mon Villa - WAKE UP!

How Did You Become a Villa Supporter?

"I wonder how many fans are actually originally from Birmingham or surrounding area. I am and I'm always interested if someone isn't from near Villa Park, why did they pick Villa as the team to follow." .............................................................................................. "I am originally from Vauxhall (Birmingham B7) and have followed the Villa since my dad took me to see a game at Villa Park on my 4th birthday. When I started following the league almost everyone was a Liverpool fan for the same reason almost everyone now is a United, City, or Chelsea fan. Not being someone who follows the crowd I wanted to support a team that was unique and different.
